Browse

The Browse tab allows you to explore all the resources in the PDP by focus area, resource type, or affiliated UNC campus. Simply select a focus area or “UNC Campus” to begin browsing. If you have selected a preferred focus area in your profile, the PDP will automatically take you to that focus area. You can browse by another focus area at any time by selecting it from the submenu under the Browse tab. 
Browse by Focus Area
Within each focus area, you will see a list of subjects and resource types specific to the selected focus area. Simply click on a linked subject term to see all resources with that subject in the selected focus area.
 
You can navigate between focus areas using the submenu under the Browse tab. You will notice that the focus area you selected is highlighted under the Browse tab. Once you select a subject or resource type, that term will appear beneath the submenu also. To return to the list of subjects, simply click on a focus area on the submenu. If you are viewing more details for a resource, clicking on the subject/resource type in the submenu will return you to your full list of results.
 
Browse by UNC Campus
Browse by UNC Campus allows you to find resources across all focus areas affiliated with the sixteen University of North Carolina campuses. Note: Not all resources in the Professional Development Portal are affiliated with a UNC campus.
 
Simply click on a linked campus to see all resources in the PDP affiliated with that campus. You can navigate back to the UNC campus listing or switch to browse by focus area by following the submenu under the Browse tab. (See Browse by Focus Area for further description.)
